This Supercomp kit is approved for the 2006 to 2012 Lexus GS430 and is also listed for the GS350 in the same years. It is a bolt-on package with supplied caliper mounting brackets and hardware, and the box includes SC5 street brake pads and stainless steel braided brake lines. Most applications need no vehicle modification to fit it.
Two-piece rotors are the heart of the package, and you choose cross-drilled or slotted. Cross-drilled runs cooler and suits daily driving, while slotted suits track use, and each is a separate part number. The stainless braided lines resist expansion under pressure, which gives a firmer pedal than stock rubber lines, and the one-piece billet calipers are machined from aluminum rather than cast.
After fitting, bed the pads in. On a clear road, make ten light-to-medium stops from 30 to 45 mph, each about three seconds long and at least a quarter mile apart. Some noise before the brakes warm up is normal for big brake kits. The listed drivetrain is 2WD unless otherwise stated, so confirm that along with the year, make and model.
