A Basic-level Airtech system suits the 1998-2005 Lexus GS400 in JZS161 chassis. It supplies four application-specific air struts with 36-way damping, plus a Viair 444C compressor, a 5-gallon black steel tank and a set of manual paddle valves. Hoses, wiring and installation manuals are supplied with the kit.
Front and rear bags are adjusted by hand from the paddle valves, and a dual-needle gauge with a 200 psi range shows the pressure. Damping is set with the included knob, and the air struts allow fine-tuning of ride height at any pressure through an adjustable lower mount, similar to the way a coilover is set.
The GS430 and GS300 are also listed for this kit. Raise times run four to seven seconds at Basic and Deluxe levels, while Pro Plus and Executive are quicker. Confirm your year and model with the KSport checker, and plan a professional installation.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment let you dial in the air struts. Insert the included damping knob and turn softer (counterclockwise) or stiffer (clockwise).
Air bags are engineered to match the vehicle. Sleeve-type and double-bellow bags are used depending on the OEM suspension design.
Like KSport coilovers, the struts allow fine-tuning of ride height at any pressure through an adjustable lower mount.
Chosen for reliability and performance; the single 444C can raise the car from lowest to maximum height in as little as four seconds. Airtech Basic and Deluxe raise in 4–7 seconds; Pro Plus and Executive raise faster, in 2–5 seconds.
Paddle valves control front and rear bags; the dual-needle gauge mounts beside the switches so pressure is always visible.
Camber-adjustable top mounts can be added on certain MacPherson-strut applications.
