Kontrol Pro coilovers for the 2016-2018 Kia Optima, LF chassis, come as four assembled units, sprung for this application with 7.5 kg/mm front and 5.8 kg/mm rear springs. Each damper offers 36 levels of damping adjustment, one knob per damper.
Monotube, high-pressure dampers dissipate heat faster and more evenly than twin-tube designs, and they allow finer damping adjustment. The mounts and collars are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, and the adjustable lower mount keeps full shock travel while the car is lowered. Lock the collars with both spanner wrenches once the setting is final.

Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for a lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant build. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.
A dust boot is standard on every Kontrol Pro coilover to protect the damper seal, with the bump stop integrated inside it — more efficient, and less prone to crumbling than a separate bump stop.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
