Most big brake kits ignore the back of the car, but this Dualcomp rear kit is built around the rear axle of the 2011 to 2012 Infiniti M56 (Y51, RWD and AWD including the sport model). Two 4-piston calipers sit on 14 inch (356 mm) two-piece cross-drilled rotors, and each caliper runs two independent circuits: two pistons serve the foot brake and two serve the handbrake.
That dual-circuit design is why a hydraulic handbrake caliper circuit and a polished titanium handbrake cylinder and lever are part of the package. Rotors are described as commonly up to 50 percent lighter than OEM rotors of the same size, and the cross-drilled style runs cooler for daily driving. In the box are the calipers, rotors with aluminum center bells, street pads, stainless braided lines, and CNC brackets that mount at the OEM bracket location. As a planning rule, wheels should be 18 in or larger, but check the KSport template against your barrel and spokes. M37 and Q70 entries also appear on this page. Installation
Bolt-on installation with the supplied brackets; no vehicle modification on most applications. After fitting, bed the pads in: on a clear road, ten light-to-medium stops from 30–45 mph, three seconds each, at least a quarter mile apart. Some noise before the brakes warm up is normal for big brake kits.
Brake system support and bed-in procedureWarranty & service
12-month limited warranty to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship. Racing use, exterior finish and improperly installed or modified parts are not covered; keep your original invoice for any claim. Small surface cracks on cross-drilled rotors are normal wear and not a defect. Replacement pads, rotors, lines and hardware are sold individually.
