Heavy crossovers are where air suspension earns its keep, and the Airtech Deluxe system for the 2009 to 2013 Infiniti FX37 (V35, AWD) lets you swap between a lowered show stance and a normal driving height with a wireless remote. Beyond four air struts, the Viair 444C compressor, tank, paddle valves and gauge from the Basic kit, Deluxe adds two electronic switches that operate the paddle valves.
Because the FX37 is a sizable machine, the 36-way damping on each strut is worth the attention. The included knob lets you tune the ride between a softer cruising setting and a tighter feel without touching the air springs. According to the page the single 444C can lift the vehicle from lowest to maximum height in as little as four seconds, and the air bags are sleeve-type or double-bellow depending on the OEM design.
