Product details
For 1997 to 2001 Honda Prelude owners who want air ride without a lot of electronics, the Airtech Basic system keeps control simple. Manual paddle valves send air to the front and rear bags, and a dual-needle 200 psi gauge beside them shows pressure at both ends so you always know where you stand.
The kit is complete: four application-specific struts with 36-way damping and adjustable lower mounts, a Viair 444C compressor, a 5-gallon black steel air tank, hoses, wiring and manuals. To adjust damping, insert the knob and turn counterclockwise for softer or clockwise for stiffer. The single compressor can lift the car from lowest to maximum height in as little as four seconds, and Basic and Deluxe systems raise in 4 to 7 seconds. The height range is listed as 0 to 120/200 mm depending on vehicle. Deluxe, Pro Plus and Executive levels are separate part numbers if you want more control. The 1992 to 1996 chassis BB1 is also listed; use the fitment checker to verify, and leave installation to a professional.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment let you dial in the air struts. Insert the included damping knob and turn softer (counterclockwise) or stiffer (clockwise).
Air bags are engineered to match the vehicle. Sleeve-type and double-bellow bags are used depending on the OEM suspension design.
Like KSport coilovers, the struts allow fine-tuning of ride height at any pressure through an adjustable lower mount.
Chosen for reliability and performance; the single 444C can raise the car from lowest to maximum height in as little as four seconds. Airtech Basic and Deluxe raise in 4–7 seconds; Pro Plus and Executive raise faster, in 2–5 seconds.
Paddle valves control front and rear bags; the dual-needle gauge mounts beside the switches so pressure is always visible.
Camber-adjustable top mounts can be added on certain MacPherson-strut applications.

Choices for this system
Basic (paddle valves and gauge), Deluxe (electronic switches and remote), Pro Plus (OLED remote, four-corner control) and Executive (adds height sensors and auto-leveling) are separate part numbers for this vehicle; compare them on the Air Suspension page.
Available on certain MacPherson-strut applications; ask a technician whether they apply to this vehicle.
Installation
Bolt-on struts with supplied hoses, wiring and manuals; professional installation is recommended. Recheck the system after the first 500 miles or one month; to check for leaks, inflate to 70 psi and spray each fitting with soapy water.
