Product details
This Version DR drag race coilover is for the 2009 to 2014 Honda Fit, the one approved application for CHD270-DR. It starts from the Version RR road race platform and is custom valved for drag racing, with springs rated 5.3 kg/mm front and 10.5 kg/mm rear. Those rates are chosen to maximize traction and regulate weight transfer, and the system is aimed at lower E.T. and 60-foot times.
Each of the four coilovers has a monotube high-pressure body that dissipates heat faster, which helps the car behave the same from pass to pass, plus 36 levels of damping adjustment on one knob per damper. The adjustable lower mount keeps shock travel intact while you set ride height, and on MacPherson fronts the pillowball upper mounts sharpen steering feel. Mounts, collars and spring perches are 6061-T6 billet aluminum, and the shock bodies are zinc plated. The coilovers are also listed for the 2010 to 2016 Honda CR-Z (ZF1 chassis). Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
