Product details
A 2009 to 2014 Honda Fit is light and nimble already, and the Asphalt Rally Spec AR coilover, CHD270-AR, is meant to build on that. Spring rates are 8.7 kg/mm in front and 6 kg/mm behind, a combination that keeps weight transfer predictable on twisty pavement.
The shocks are inverted and extended-stroke, with 55 mm bodies, a layout that reduces unsprung weight and shifts heat away from the brakes. Heavy-duty steel mounts and a hardened rubber pillowball top mounts on MacPherson applications keep the geometry stiff, and the 36 damping settings give you room to adapt the car to the day, soft for traffic and tighter for a favorite road. The lower mount adjusts height without giving up damper stroke.
Four coilovers come assembled, along with damping knobs and spanner wrenches. Lock each collar with both wrenches and set the initial damping before you drive. KSport also lists the 2010 to 2016 Honda CR-Z (ZF1) for this part number. Fitment should be checked against the year/make/model tool, and a professional alignment is needed after installation.
Supported features
Gravel Rally springs range from 250 mm to 270 mm with extended cylinder length and piston stroke, greatly improving handling over uneven and bumpy roads. Height range varies per vehicle and does not exceed OE ride height.
Asphalt Rally uses inverted shocks on many MacPherson applications, moving the gas/oil chamber away from the knuckle and brakes to reduce heat transfer and unsprung weight.
Strengthened steel lower mounts are standard on MacPherson applications; Gravel Rally adds heavy-duty steel upper mounts on most applications. Wishbone and multi-link applications use the standard aluminum mounts.
Gravel Rally kits use unique hardened-rubber pillowball top mounts on MacPherson applications to absorb repeated impacts from loose surfaces.
Simultaneous compression and rebound adjustment across 36 levels, with carefully selected per-application spring rates and damping to stabilize the car over uneven roads.
Inverted applications use 55 mm bodies for added oil capacity and cooling under sustained stage loads.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
