A Del Sol is light and low already, so putting it on air is mostly about flexibility: park it flat on the ground, then raise it over a driveway. The Airtech Basic kit for the Honda Del Sol, with applications listed from 1992 through 1997, supplies everything for that in one package. Expect four struts made for the car, a Viair 444C, a 5-gallon black steel tank, paddle valves and a dual-needle 200 psi gauge.
With paddle valves there is nothing to program. One controls the front bags and one the rear, and the gauge lives beside them so pressure stays visible. Each strut offers 36 damping settings; the included knob turns counterclockwise for softer and clockwise for stiffer. The 444C is described as chosen for reliability and performance.
Height is fine-tuned at the lower mount, as it is on KSport coilovers, and the total range is listed as 0 to 120/200 mm depending on vehicle. Bolt-on installation with the supplied hoses, wiring and manuals is expected, with a professional recommended. Chosen for reliability and performance; the single 444C can raise the car from lowest to maximum height in as little as four seconds. Airtech Basic and Deluxe raise in 4–7 seconds; Pro Plus and Executive raise faster, in 2–5 seconds.
Paddle valves control front and rear bags; the dual-needle gauge mounts beside the switches so pressure is always visible.
Camber-adjustable top mounts can be added on certain MacPherson-strut applications.
