Starting from the 1988 Honda CR-X EF with an eyelet rear shock, the Basic kit (CHD011-ABA) is a full system: four air struts, one Viair 444C compressor, a 5-gallon black steel tank, and paddle valves with a 200 psi dual-needle gauge.
You run it by hand. The front and rear valves feed the bags, the dual-needle gauge reads both ends, and turning the damping knob counterclockwise softens the ride while clockwise firms it. Adjustable lower mounts set height at any pressure, and the Viair unit lifts the car in four to seven seconds on this configuration.
Travel spans 0-120/200 mm, depending on the vehicle, and hoses, wiring and manuals are supplied. The 1988 Civic EF with the same eyelet rear shock is also listed, so verify your car with the year/make/model checker. Plan a professional install and a leak test at 70 psi with soapy water after the first 500 miles or one month.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment let you dial in the air struts. Insert the included damping knob and turn softer (counterclockwise) or stiffer (clockwise).
Air bags are engineered to match the vehicle. Sleeve-type and double-bellow bags are used depending on the OEM suspension design.
Like KSport coilovers, the struts allow fine-tuning of ride height at any pressure through an adjustable lower mount.
Chosen for reliability and performance; the single 444C can raise the car from lowest to maximum height in as little as four seconds. Airtech Basic and Deluxe raise in 4–7 seconds; Pro Plus and Executive raise faster, in 2–5 seconds.
Paddle valves control front and rear bags; the dual-needle gauge mounts beside the switches so pressure is always visible.
Camber-adjustable top mounts can be added on certain MacPherson-strut applications.
