The Asphalt Rally Spec AR coilovers are for the 1992-1995 Honda Civic and come as four assembled coilovers with 16 kg/mm front and 8.7 kg/mm rear springs. The AR build is the extended-stroke option, and on many MacPherson applications it uses an inverted steel shock with a 55 mm body for added oil capacity and cooling under sustained loads.
Inverting the shock moves the gas and oil chamber away from the knuckle and brakes, which helps reduce heat transfer and unsprung weight. Strengthened steel lower mounts are standard on MacPherson applications, and the 36 damping levels adjust compression and rebound at the same time. Gravel Rally is a different build with a lengthened stroke and 250-270 mm springs, so it is sold as a separate part number.

Supported features
Gravel Rally springs range from 250 mm to 270 mm with extended cylinder length and piston stroke, greatly improving handling over uneven and bumpy roads. Height range varies per vehicle and does not exceed OE ride height.
Asphalt Rally uses inverted shocks on many MacPherson applications, moving the gas/oil chamber away from the knuckle and brakes to reduce heat transfer and unsprung weight.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
