Product details
Version RR Road Race for the 1990-1997 Honda Accord (CHD070-RR) runs 22 kg/mm front and 18 kg/mm rear springs with aggressive valving. The shock stroke is 20-30 mm shorter than street kits, which sets the car lower with less travel in reserve. The four assembled coilovers in the box come pre-sprung and pre-valved for this Accord.
Pick your own spring rates if the proven set does not fit your plan, since the shocks are valved to match. The bumpstops are upgraded, which lowers the chance of the shock bottoming out on rough surfaces. The 36 damping levels make it easy to move between a cruising feel and a firmer edge.
Ride height is set on the adjustable lower mount, and the spring perch covers the job where no lower mount exists. The monotube design keeps oil and gas separated for faster heat dissipation and consistent ride quality. Mounts and collars are 6061-T6 billet aluminum, and the steel bodies are zinc plated. Verify the fitment with the year/make/model checker.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment. Set full soft for a comfortable cruising setting for normal driving.
Version RR kits include upgraded bumpstops to prevent the shock from bottoming out over uneven pavement or harsh road conditions.
Aggressive spring rates and valving with a 20–30 mm shorter shock stroke. Choose proven spring rates or your own custom rates; the shocks are valved to what you select.
Many MacPherson applications have pillowball upper mounts; the patented bearing design combats noise and improves steering feel and response.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder for faster heat dissipation, finer damping adjustment, and consistent ride quality.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum; steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
Coilover setup, height and damping guidesWarranty & service

Racing use, exterior finish and improperly installed or modified parts are not covered; keep your original invoice for any claim.
