The Version DR Drag Race coilovers for the 1998 to 2002 Honda Accord are custom valved for exactly that job, with springs rated 12 kg/mm in front and 8.7 kg/mm in the rear, chosen to maximize traction and regulate weight transfer. The stated goal is lower E.T. and 60-ft times.
Underneath is the Version RR road-race platform, so you still get a monotube high-pressure damper, 36 levels of damping and an adjustable lower mount that lowers the car without giving up shock travel. Between passes, set the dampers to full soft for a comfortable cruise back to the pits. The box holds four assembled coilovers, upper mounts with pillowball camber adjustment on MacPherson fronts, damping knobs and spanner wrenches. Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
