The 2008 to 2012 Honda Accord, 4 or 6 cyl., can run a full air setup through the Airtech Basic system, part number CHD230-ABA. It is the manual version of KSport's air lineup: you choose the height with paddle valves and watch the pressure on a gauge instead of relying on a remote.
Inside are four air struts matched to the car, a single Viair 444C compressor, a 5-gallon black steel tank and the dual-needle 200 psi front/rear gauge that mounts beside the switches. The bags are sleeve-type or double-bellow depending on the OEM suspension design, and the struts keep the adjustable lower mounts found on KSport coilovers. A damping knob lets you choose among 36 levels at each corner, so a hard-parked show car and a daily commuter can share the same hardware.
Hoses, wiring and manuals are supplied. The page lists this part for the 2009 to 2013 Acura TSX and the 2010 to 2015 Accord Crosstour too, and different management levels exist as separate part numbers for the Accord, so compare them before you choose. 36 levels of damping adjustment let you dial in the air struts. Insert the included damping knob and turn softer (counterclockwise) or stiffer (clockwise).
Air bags are engineered to match the vehicle. Sleeve-type and double-bellow bags are used depending on the OEM suspension design.
Like KSport coilovers, the struts allow fine-tuning of ride height at any pressure through an adjustable lower mount.
Chosen for reliability and performance; the single 444C can raise the car from lowest to maximum height in as little as four seconds. Airtech Basic and Deluxe raise in 4–7 seconds; Pro Plus and Executive raise faster, in 2–5 seconds.
Paddle valves control front and rear bags; the dual-needle gauge mounts beside the switches so pressure is always visible.
Camber-adjustable top mounts can be added on certain MacPherson-strut applications.
