Slide Kontrol Drift coilovers for the 2006-2010 BMW M5 E60 are four assembled units with 14 kg/mm front springs and 12 kg/mm rear springs. Damping runs roughly 30-50% stiffer than Kontrol Pro, and the rates are chosen to help the car initiate drifts.
The 55 mm inverted-type shock body gives extra oil capacity and cooling efficiency for sustained stress at track events. Each damper has 36 levels of adjustment, and setting the knob full soft gives a comfortable everyday ride. Helper springs come with the kit on some applications.
Steel lower mounts are used on MacPherson applications for the loads of competitive drifting, and the pillowball top mount's camber adjustment means no separate camber kit. Monotube bodies handle heat and damping control well. This kit suits M5 cars without electronic self-leveling, along with the 5 Series models that lack self-leveling.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
