KSport's Kontrol Pro coilover is built for the 2011-2015 BMW M5 F10, the approved application for CBM240-KP. The springs are rated 12 kg/mm front and 6.7 kg/mm rear, and each coilover is sprung and valved for this car, with one knob per damper for 36 levels of adjustment. The monotube body dissipates heat more evenly than twin-tube construction and resists aeration and cavitation, which supports consistent ride quality.
Ride height is set on the adjustable lower mount, which keeps full shock travel while you lower the car. Where the application has no lower mount, the spring perch takes that role instead. The pillowball upper mount used on MacPherson-strut fronts often includes camber adjustment, which is handy for alignment after lowering and removes the need for a separate camber kit.
Every Kontrol Pro coilover has a standard dust boot that protects the damper seal, with the bump stop built inside it. Mounts, collars and spring perches are 6061-T6 billet aluminum. The kit is also listed for 2016-2017 BMW M5 and for 5 Series applications, including the 528i, 535i and 550i, which exclude xDrive without self leveling. Applications with a pillowball upper mount often include camber adjustment — useful for dialing in alignment after lowering, and it removes the need for a separate camber kit.
Applications for MacPherson-strut suspension typically use a pillowball upper mount. The bearing design resists the noise common to other coilovers, and steering feel and response improve.
Most Kontrol Pro applications adjust ride height independently of shock and spring travel, so you can set your stance without risking bottoming out the shock.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder. Compared with twin-tube construction, a monotube design dissipates heat faster and more evenly, allows finer damping adjustment, and resists aeration and cavitation.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for a lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant build. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.
A dust boot is standard on every Kontrol Pro coilover to protect the damper seal, with the bump stop integrated inside it — more efficient, and less prone to crumbling than a separate bump stop.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
