Product details
Version RR Road Race coilovers suit the 2001-2005 BMW M3 E46 as four assembled units, sprung and valved for that application. Springs are 16 kg/mm in front and 18 kg/mm at the rear, with aggressive race rates, and custom rates are available if you want your own figures.
The stroke runs 20-30 mm shorter than street kits, and upgraded bumpstops stop the shock from bottoming out over bumps. Each damper has its own knob for 36 levels of adjustment, and full soft keeps the car pleasant on the drive home from the track.
The pillowball upper mount on MacPherson fronts adds camber adjustment for alignment work after lowering. Mounts are 6061-T6 billet aluminum, and the steel bodies are zinc-plated. The kit is also listed for 1999-2000 BMW M3 models and for 1999-2005 3 Series E46 models in the 323i through 330i range, including wagons.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment. Set full soft for a comfortable cruising setting for normal driving.
Version RR kits include upgraded bumpstops to prevent the shock from bottoming out over uneven pavement or harsh road conditions.
Aggressive spring rates and valving with a 20–30 mm shorter shock stroke. Choose proven spring rates or your own custom rates; the shocks are valved to what you select.
Many MacPherson applications have pillowball upper mounts; the patented bearing design combats noise and improves steering feel and response.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder for faster heat dissipation, finer damping adjustment, and consistent ride quality.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum; steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
Coilover setup, height and damping guidesWarranty & service
