Version DR drag race coilovers for the 1995-1999 BMW M3 E36 are built on the Version RR road race platform and valved custom for drag racing. This set has springs at 9.8 kg/mm in front and 4.5 kg/mm at the rear, a combination picked to maximize traction and regulate weight transfer off the line.
Each damper has one knob for 36 levels of damping adjustment, and full soft gives a comfortable cruise between passes. Monotube high-pressure bodies keep oil and gas apart for faster heat dissipation and steady behavior from run to run.
Mounts, collars and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, and the steel shock bodies are zinc-plated. The MacPherson fronts use a pillowball top mount with camber adjustment. Lock each collar with both spanner wrenches, then confirm fitment with the year, make and model checker. The kit is also listed for 1992-1998 BMW 3 Series RWD 323i, 325i and 328i cars.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
