The E36 BMW M3 from 1995 to 1999 is the approved application for this Kontrol Pro coilover set, rated 8.7 kg/mm in front and 9.5 kg/mm at the rear. Compared with twin-tube dampers, the monotube high-pressure design keeps oil and gas apart, which dissipates heat faster and more evenly and allows finer damping adjustment. Run full soft for comfort or stiffen compression and rebound for the track.
A dust boot with the bump stop built inside protects the damper seal. Pillowball upper mounts often include camber adjustment, and the adjustable lower mount sets stance without bottoming out the shock. Mounts, collars and perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum. You get four assembled coilovers, knobs and spanner wrenches. Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for a lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant build. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.
A dust boot is standard on every Kontrol Pro coilover to protect the damper seal, with the bump stop integrated inside it — more efficient, and less prone to crumbling than a separate bump stop.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
