Kontrol Plus 2-Way is the stiffer step above Kontrol Pro for the 1995-1999 BMW M3 E36, with four assembled coilovers sprung at 9.8 kg/mm front and 12.5 kg/mm rear. Its springs run 2-3 kg stiffer and its damping 60-150% firmer than the Kontrol Pro kit, so expect a more controlled feel on the road.
Two adjustments are available: 36 levels of damping at the top of the assembly and 24 levels of nitrogen pressure at the bottom of the reservoir. The external reservoir lets rebound, compression and nitrogen pressure change independently, which works out to 864 possible settings.
Monotube high-pressure construction keeps oil and gas separated and resists aeration and cavitation. Standard pillowball mounts on MacPherson applications adjust camber and caster and replace stock rubber or plastic mounts. Ride height comes from the adjustable lower mount, which leaves shock and spring travel intact, and the same kit suits 1992-1998 BMW 3 Series RWD 323i, 325i and 328i cars.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
