For the 1999 to 2005 BMW M3 (E46), Basic air suspension means manual control and a very readable setup. Paddle valves operate the front and rear bags, and a dual-needle 200 psi gauge shows both axles, so adjusting height is a matter of watching the needles.
The kit is complete: four application-specific air struts with 36-way damping, a Viair 444C compressor, a 5-gallon black steel air tank, hoses, wiring, manuals and a damping adjustment knob. Because damping adjusts on the strut itself, the ride can be softened or firmed without touching the air pressure. Bags are sleeve-type or double-bellow depending on the OEM suspension design, and adjustable lower mounts allow fine height changes.

Paddle valves control front and rear bags; the dual-needle gauge mounts beside the switches so pressure is always visible.
