Airtech Basic is a complete air suspension system for the 1995-1999 BMW M3 E36. Four application-specific struts with 36-way damping and adjustable lower mounts come with a Viair 444C compressor, a 5-gallon black steel tank, and manual paddle valves with a dual-needle 200 psi front and rear gauge.
The paddle valves control the front and rear bags, and the gauge mounts beside them so pressure stays visible while you work. The single 444C can raise the car from lowest to maximum height in as little as four seconds, and the adjustable lower mounts let you fine-tune ride height at any pressure.
Use the damping knob to soften each strut counterclockwise or stiffen it clockwise. Camber-adjustable top mounts can be added on certain MacPherson-strut applications, so ask a technician whether they apply. This kit is also listed for 1992-1994 BMW 3 Series E36 models, so confirm your exact car with the year, make and model checker.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment let you dial in the air struts. Insert the included damping knob and turn softer (counterclockwise) or stiffer (clockwise).
Air bags are engineered to match the vehicle. Sleeve-type and double-bellow bags are used depending on the OEM suspension design.
Like KSport coilovers, the struts allow fine-tuning of ride height at any pressure through an adjustable lower mount.
Chosen for reliability and performance; the single 444C can raise the car from lowest to maximum height in as little as four seconds. Airtech Basic and Deluxe raise in 4–7 seconds; Pro Plus and Executive raise faster, in 2–5 seconds.
