Kontrol Pro is KSport's everyday-capable coilover for the 2014-2018 BMW 4 Series F32, and CBM250-KP is the approved application. Front springs are rated 9 kg/mm and rear springs 11.5 kg/mm, so the rear is set stiffer than the front. Each coilover arrives sprung and valved for this application. The approved application covers the 428i, 430i, 435i and 440i coupes, excluding M-Technik, xDrive and EDC.
The monotube body keeps oil and gas apart in the cylinder, which lets heat leave the damper more evenly, allows finer adjustment and resists aeration and cavitation. There are 36 levels of damping adjustment with one knob per damper, and turning them softer or stiffer changes compression and rebound together. Set the knobs full soft for relaxed road use, or firm them up when the car goes to the track.
The adjustable lower mount lets you lower the car without giving up shock travel, and a dust boot with an integrated bump stop covers the damper seal. The mounts, collars and spring perches are billet 6061-T6 aluminum. The 2012-2018 BMW 3 Series Sedan with 320i, 328i, 330i, 335i and 340i is also listed, excluding M-Technik, xDrive and EDC. Supported features
Every KSport coilover offers 36 levels of damping adjustment. Set full soft for comfortable daily driving, or firm up the compression and rebound for the track.
Applications with a pillowball upper mount often include camber adjustment — useful for dialing in alignment after lowering, and it removes the need for a separate camber kit.
Applications for MacPherson-strut suspension typically use a pillowball upper mount. The bearing design resists the noise common to other coilovers, and steering feel and response improve.
Most Kontrol Pro applications adjust ride height independently of shock and spring travel, so you can set your stance without risking bottoming out the shock.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder. Compared with twin-tube construction, a monotube design dissipates heat faster and more evenly, allows finer damping adjustment, and resists aeration and cavitation.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for a lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant build. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.
A dust boot is standard on every Kontrol Pro coilover to protect the damper seal, with the bump stop integrated inside it — more efficient, and less prone to crumbling than a separate bump stop.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
