Product details
Version RR Road Race coilovers for the 2012-2013 BMW 3 Series are sprung and valved for competition use, with 18 kg/mm springs at both corners. The valving is aggressive, and custom rates are available if you want to specify your own.
The stroke runs 20-30 mm shorter than street kits, and the shocks are valved to the rates you select. Upgraded shock bumpstops guard against bottoming out over uneven pavement or harsh road conditions. Each damper carries 36 levels of adjustment, with full soft suited to normal driving.
The pillowball top mount on MacPherson fronts adjusts camber and caster, and the monotube design gives faster, more even heat dissipation for consistent ride quality. Mounts, collars and spring perches are 6061-T6 billet aluminum with zinc-plated steel bodies. The kit is also listed for 2006-2011 BMW 3 Series sedans and for 2008-2011 BMW 1 Series RWD cars.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment. Set full soft for a comfortable cruising setting for normal driving.
Version RR kits include upgraded bumpstops to prevent the shock from bottoming out over uneven pavement or harsh road conditions.
Aggressive spring rates and valving with a 20–30 mm shorter shock stroke. Choose proven spring rates or your own custom rates; the shocks are valved to what you select.
Many MacPherson applications have pillowball upper mounts; the patented bearing design combats noise and improves steering feel and response.
Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder for faster heat dissipation, finer damping adjustment, and consistent ride quality.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum; steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
