Slide Kontrol Drift for the 2012-2013 BMW 3 Series puts four assembled coilovers on the car, sprung at 12 kg/mm in front and 14 kg/mm at the rear. Damping runs roughly 30-50% stiffer than Kontrol Pro, and the stiffer spring rates assist initiation while drifting.
The 55 mm inverted-type shock body adds oil capacity and cooling, which holds up better under sustained stress at track events. Each damper has a knob for 36 levels of adjustment, and full soft gives a comfortable setting for everyday use. Helper springs are included on some applications.
MacPherson applications use strengthened steel lower mounts built for competitive drifting, and the pillowball top mount with camber adjustment means no separate camber kit is needed. Monotube construction separates oil and gas for faster heat dissipation. The kit is also listed for 2006-2011 3 Series sedans and 2008-2011 1 Series RWD cars with 128i, 135i, 135is and cabrio bodies.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
