On the 2006 to 2011 BMW 3 Series sedan (E90/E91, 325i through 335is, including the 335d), Airtech Deluxe sits one step above the paddle-valve Basic system. It still contains the paddle valves, gauge, tank and Viair 444C, but adds two electronic switches that operate those valves precisely and a wireless remote that changes ride height from outside the car.
The installation story is the selling point. The page describes running the air lines to the box, connecting four wires to the quick-disconnect plug and wiring the compressor and relay, and that is it. Hoses, wiring and manuals are supplied. A single 444C is quoted at raising the car from lowest to maximum in as little as four seconds.
Four application-specific struts supply 36 damping levels through the included knob. A BMW that is lowered on air still has to cope with real roads, so being able to reset firmness separately from height is useful. Bags are sleeve-type or double-bellow, matched to the factory suspension design, and the lower mount adjusts at any pressure. Installation
Bolt-on struts with supplied hoses, wiring and manuals; professional installation is recommended. Recheck the system after the first 500 miles or one month; to check for leaks, inflate to 70 psi and spray each fitting with soapy water.
