Kontrol Pro coilovers are built for the 2006-2008 Audi S4, and this listing is a complete set of four assembled units, sprung and valved for that application. Front springs are rated 14 kg/mm and rear springs 8 kg/mm, so the front end is noticeably firmer than the rear. Compare those rates with your current setup before you settle on a stance.
Every damper carries its own knob for 36 levels of adjustment. Turn it soft for everyday comfort, or firm up compression and rebound for a track day. The shock is a monotube, high-pressure design that keeps oil and gas separated, which helps it shed heat and gives finer control over damping.
On the S4 the upper mount is a pillowball with camber adjustment on MacPherson-strut fronts, a useful tool after lowering. Mounts, collars and spring perches are 6061-T6 billet aluminum, and the steel bodies are zinc-plated. A dust boot with the bump stop built in protects the damper seal. The units are rebuildable, and replacement shocks, springs, mounts and hardware are sold individually.

Oil and gas stay separated within the cylinder. Compared with twin-tube construction, a monotube design dissipates heat faster and more evenly, allows finer damping adjustment, and resists aeration and cavitation.
Mounts, collars, and spring perches are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for a lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant build. Steel shock bodies are zinc-plated for added protection from corrosion.
A dust boot is standard on every Kontrol Pro coilover to protect the damper seal, with the bump stop integrated inside it — more efficient, and less prone to crumbling than a separate bump stop.

Installation
Set ride height with the adjustable lower mount where the application has one; use the spring perch only where the application-specific layout has no adjustable lower mount. Lock every collar with both spanner wrenches. Start damping 18 clicks counterclockwise from full stiff and adjust from there. Professional setup and alignment are required after installation; on MacPherson fronts, establish baseline camber at the elongated lower-mount hole before fine adjustment at the upper plate.
