Product details
Basic is the entry point to the Airtech line for the 2009-2016 Audi S4 B8 AWD, and it is a complete air system. Four application-specific struts with 36-way damping and adjustable lower mounts arrive with a Viair 444C compressor, a 5-gallon black steel tank and manual paddle valves.
Control is handled by a dual-needle 200 psi front and rear gauge that sits beside the paddle valves, so tank pressure stays in view. Raise time on Basic and Deluxe runs 4-7 seconds, while Pro Plus and Executive are quicker at 2-5 seconds. Hoses, wiring, installation manuals and a damping adjustment knob come in the box.
Turn the included knob counterclockwise to soften the damping and clockwise to stiffen it. Camber-adjustable top mounts can be added on certain MacPherson-strut applications, so ask a technician whether they apply to this car. Check the year, make and model checker before you buy, and note that Deluxe, Pro Plus and Executive are separate part numbers for this vehicle.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment let you dial in the air struts. Insert the included damping knob and turn softer (counterclockwise) or stiffer (clockwise).
Air bags are engineered to match the vehicle. Sleeve-type and double-bellow bags are used depending on the OEM suspension design.
Like KSport coilovers, the struts allow fine-tuning of ride height at any pressure through an adjustable lower mount.
Chosen for reliability and performance; the single 444C can raise the car from lowest to maximum height in as little as four seconds. Airtech Basic and Deluxe raise in 4–7 seconds; Pro Plus and Executive raise faster, in 2–5 seconds.
Paddle valves control front and rear bags; the dual-needle gauge mounts beside the switches so pressure is always visible.
Camber-adjustable top mounts can be added on certain MacPherson-strut applications.
