Airtech Basic brings a complete air system to the 2018-2019 Audi Q5 Quattro, built around four application-specific struts with 36-way damping and adjustable lower mounts. The package includes a Viair 444C compressor, a 5-gallon black steel tank and manual paddle valves with a dual-needle 200 psi front and rear gauge.
The front upper mount is rubber, and the rear reuses the OEM top mount, so plan the install around that difference. Ride height can be fine-tuned at any pressure through the adjustable lower mounts, and the listed height range is 0-120/200 mm depending on the vehicle. Turn the damping knob counterclockwise to soften a strut or clockwise to stiffen it.
Raise times are 4-7 seconds on Basic and Deluxe, while Pro Plus and Executive reach height faster at 2-5 seconds. Hoses, wiring and installation manuals come in the box, and professional installation is recommended. Confirm fitment with the year, make and model checker before you order this application.
Supported features
36 levels of damping adjustment let you dial in the air struts. Insert the included damping knob and turn softer (counterclockwise) or stiffer (clockwise).
Air bags are engineered to match the vehicle. Sleeve-type and double-bellow bags are used depending on the OEM suspension design.
Like KSport coilovers, the struts allow fine-tuning of ride height at any pressure through an adjustable lower mount.
Chosen for reliability and performance; the single 444C can raise the car from lowest to maximum height in as little as four seconds. Airtech Basic and Deluxe raise in 4–7 seconds; Pro Plus and Executive raise faster, in 2–5 seconds.
Paddle valves control front and rear bags; the dual-needle gauge mounts beside the switches so pressure is always visible.
Camber-adjustable top mounts can be added on certain MacPherson-strut applications.
