After being absent from the drift community for a good 2 years, Team Ksport USA battled their way thru the competition during the 2011 season thanks to our new driver Corey Hosford. Piloting our LS1 powered S13.5 he was able to secure his Formula Drift license in only 3 Pro-Am events. With Corey earning his Formula Drift license, this lead to Team Ksport USA wanting to unleash something completely new for the 2012 Formula Drift Competition Series. We brainstormed for a couple weeks debating what chassis to go with and ended up choosing the Nissan 350z due to its excellent handling characteristics, sexy body lines and the fact that there is an abundance of aftermarket support for it. The Ksport USA 350z made its debut at the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. We had only 8 weeks to get the car ready in time for SEMA but Team Ksport along with the help of many sponsors was able to make it happen. About the Driver – Corey Hosford

Corey Hosford (27, Gilbert, AZ) approached us in March of 2011. He had heard from several of his fellow co-workers that Ksport was possibly looking for a new driver. Corey is a full time driving instructor at the well-known Bondurant School of High Performance Driving in Chandler, AZ. Being a rookie in the drift world didn’t stop Corey from jumping right in and securing 2 podium finishes out of 3 events during the Vegas Pro-Am Series. Corey’s outstanding performances lead him to secure his Formula Drift license. Corey has the dedication and eagerness to learn from the best which we feel is going to propel Team Ksport to new levels for seasons to come.
